The retro-influenced design, the beige gold body with wooden side panels will remind you of the Korg classics of mid 80’s such as DW8000 and Poly 800. It is one of the first synthesizers to offer multi-band vocoding and high-tech analog modeling in a compact portable package.
The 37 keys microKorg with 128-user rewritable programs and Synthesizer/Vocoder is a perfect companion for any computer musician, producer, performer and any beginner in arena of music. The quality of sound that microKorg delivers will surely leave you stunned.
Play Anywhere Run on Batteries
The microKorg features analogue synth modeling technology and shares many distinct features of respected series MS2000/MS2000R. The microKorg comes in an attractive package and can run on six AA batteries. It has a mini keyboard and offers many features that can’t be offered by any product of its size.
The microKorg offers distinct new features such as has a four voice modeled analogue synth, a vocoder of high capacity, a MIDI spec and a programmable arpeggiator. The arpeggio features six built-in patterns (Random, Trigger, UP, DOWN, ALT1/2) with ability to control swing, tempo, gate time and 4 octave range. Every individual pattern can be switched on or off and can be used as step sequencer.
Trio MIDI Connectors Included
The rear panel of MicroKorg features a 3.5mm headphone output, 3.5mm left/right outputs, a trio of MIDI connectors and two sets of audio inputs. It uses the same dual oscillator DSP synthesis engine, which was highlight of critically acclaimed Korg MS2000.
The synthesis engine is known to offer wide selection of waveforms, which can’t be compared with any other modeled synth. Oscillator 1 in microKorg features 71 different waveforms, which include traditional analog waves as well as some things that you would have never heard of such as cross-wave and Vox wave.
The microKorg has unique ability to produce extensive ranges of timbres through modulation. It can also reproduce wider ranges of imitative sounds using its 64 DWGS waveforms, a unique quality inspired from Korg’s classic DW-8000. The Oscillator 2 can be applied to create complex timbres using Ring and Sync modulation.
Amazing Effects and Filters In Such a Small Package
MicroKorg offers four filter modes, 12dB (2-pole) high pass, low pass and band pass configurations that includes 24dB (4-pole) low pass setting. The 2 MIDI syncable LFOs and 2 ADSR envelope generators can be effectively used to shape and power your sounds.
The Virtual Patch Matrix gives you power to make advanced modulation settings by routing the Mod wheel to control pulse width or filter off. The control panning and amp level through LFO will demonstrate a performance you could have never imagined at this price range.
MicroKorg presents 3 types of delay effects (L/R, cross, stereo) and 3 types of modulation effects (ensemble, phaser, chorus/flanger) with 2-band equalizer. The arpeggiator allows you to sync delay with external MIDI clock, which will add to performance in Live shows. The effects can also be edited to create your own signature sounds.
The interface is simple and elegant with no complex structure on the panel. The functions can be accessed with ease through large dial and LED illuminated buttons even in dark stage conditions.
