An Advanced Digital Piano

The Clavinova series of digital pianos are top in its class and the 500 lineup is the most advanced digital piano lineup offering from Yamaha. The CVP 501 is a better instrument than its predecessors. It features increased polyphony, a new 3 level CFIIIS piano sample and double data storage capacity to store user programs, styles and sequences.

Dynamic Stereo Sampling

The CVP-501 offers helpful features such as Internet connection, auto accompaniment, and guide functions. The Pure CF sampling, 128-note polyphony and other advanced features makes the piano sound with excellent tonal response and the sound appears to be more closely to the original sound. The sound produced also benefits from the AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling that samples the sound up by three levels depending on the keystroke length. This allows expression of delicate sound nuances. The CVP-501 also comes loaded with hundreds of other instruments sounds in addition to piano sounds. Hence, you can enjoy all types of instruments when you play the piano.

The special feature of CVP model is the wide range of styles that can be used with automatic accompaniment. The Clavinova-501 also presents a unique feature known as Music Finder. All you need to do is select the keyword or Song title and the appropriate style effects and voice is automatically set.

CVP-501 features direct Internet access, which allows you to access musical data from specialized websites. You also have the facility of storing performance data into a USB storage device through the USB port provided on instrument. The big LCD screen facilitates reading of musical notation, text, lyrics and chords.

Clavinova CVP 501 comes fitted with a Graded Hammer keyboard, 16-track sequencer that is capable of recording in real-time and step-time. The 16-track mixing console consists of vol/pan, filter tuning, master volume parameters, an effects processor with more than 300 presets and 300 preset accompaniment styles that will give a boost to your new song ideas.

Lesson Guide to Help You Learn

The lesson/guide mode comes with guide lamps and score and lyrics display which makes it easy to read and play music simultaneously. CVP-501 draws its sound power from two in-built in 20W amps with a pair of 16cm speakers. You can also hook an external sound system through the AUX out ports.
